Dave is promoting the third book in his American alternate history fantasy series, Witchy Kingdom:
SEASON OF THE WITCH

An encounter with her father’s goddess has not turned out to be the end for Sarah Elytharias Penn. Now, with the Imperial fist tightened around her city of Cahokia and the beastkind of the Heron King ravaging across the river, she must find a way to access the power of the Serpent Throne itself—a feat, she has learned, that her father never accomplished. To complicate her efforts, Cahokia’s Metropolitan, a beloved and charismatic priest who despises the goddess as a demon, returns from a long pilgrimage and attempts to finalize the Wisdom-eradicating reform that dogged Sarah’s father when he was king.

Meanwhile, Sarah’s brother Nathaniel and her brilliant but erratic servant Jacob Hop find their steps dogged by the Emperor’s Machiavel, Temple Franklin, as they hunt in New Amsterdam for the third Elytharias sibling. As Simon Sword’s destroying storm threatens from the south and west, and New Orleans is thrown into deadly turmoil when a vodoun priest and mameluke assassins contend for ultimate power and control of the Mississippi, the chance for a unified New World teeters on the brink. Sarah Penn understands she may face a hard fate in the final reckoning. But she also knows that only she can access the power of the Throne—if she can find the Wisdom inside to unlock it.
Christopher is promoting the second book in his epic sci-fi space opera, Howling Dark:
Hadrian Marlowe is lost.

For half a century, he has searched the farther suns for the lost planet of Vorgossos, hoping to find a way to contact the elusive alien Cielcin. He has not succeeded, and for years has wandered among the barbarian Normans as captain of a band of mercenaries.

Determined to make peace and bring an end to nearly four hundred years of war, Hadrian must venture beyond the security of the Sollan Empire and among the Extrasolarians who dwell between the stars. There, he will face not only the aliens he has come to offer peace, but contend with creatures that once were human, with traitors in his midst, and with a meeting that will bring him face to face with no less than the oldest enemy of mankind.

If he succeeds, he will usher in a peace unlike any in recorded history. If he fails...the galaxy will burn.
And, of course, I'm promoting the fourth book in the Chaos Queen Quintet, Fear the Stars!

All parties converge on the capital city, Triah - Cinzia and the Odenites to establish their new religion and appeal against a charge of heresy; Knot and Astrid to find answers in the vampire girl's past; and Winter has come to conquer the city, at the head of a tiellan army. But Winter is still struggling with her addictions and anger; Knot's efforts to be reunited with her can only lead to disappointment. Cinzia cannot free herself from a terrible bargain. And as the battle lines are drawn, the true nature of the goddess Canta, and the Odenites' final purpose, will soon be revealed...
Luke Tarzian, author of the awesome dark fantasy novel Vultures, will be joining us in San Diego and LA!

And Griffin Barber will join us for our event in the new Barnes & Noble in Concord, CA!

It's going to be an awesome tour!

A Tour Completed

The Witchy Winter/Blood Requiem Tour has come to an end!

When all was said and done, over nine days we did eight full events at independent bookstores and signed books at thirty-nine Barnes & Nobles throughout the west! Our days basically consisted of waking up, driving, stopping at every Barnes & Noble we could find along the way, driving some more, doing an event, sleeping, and then starting all over. (The one exception was Sunday, which we took as a writing day.)

Dave Butler, in addition to being a brilliant writer, is also a great traveling companion, and we had many an enlightening, productive, ridiculous, and hilarious conversation along the way.

It was awesome. Also, exhausting. But mostly awesome.

Here are the tweets about (most of, but not all!) the bookstores and events we hit up along the way. I'm not saying they're exciting (they get repetitive), but if you want to know about signed Chaos Queen/Witchy War books near you, you might find some here!

(Also, for any folks in the Las Vegas and St. George areas, we're planing a brief epilogue to our tour where we'll do some events in both of those locations, likely in mid September. Keep your eyes open for more info about that!)

Reading/Signing in Anchorage, Alaska!

Hey folks!

If you're in the Anchorage, Alaska area, I'll be doing an event at the Anchorage Barnes & Noble on 14 July, 6-8 PM! I'll do a reading, answer some questions, and of course sign books. It'll be fun.

HERE'S THE LINK TO THE FACEBOOK EVENT PAGE!

Also, turns out Duskfall is a staff pick at this particular B&N, so that's neat!

(I grew up in the Anchorage area, so none of this is particularly surprising, but all very cool nonetheless!)

The WITCHY WINTER/BLOOD REQUIEM Book Tour!

Hey ya'll!

In a follow up to the Witchy Eye/Dark Immolation book tour last year, the follow-up Witchy Winter/Blood Requiem book tour is officially happening, starting this Friday!

The brilliant Dave Butler and I will once again be touring with our newest books, Witchy Winter and Blood Requiem, respectively. You've heard enough about Blood Requiem around here recently, but if you haven't heard of Witchy Winter (sequel to the groundbreaking Witchy Eye), I highly recommend it! Check out the blurb:

Sarah Calhoun paid a hard price for her entry onto the stage of the Empire’s politics, but she survived. Now she rides north into the Ohio and her father’s kingdom, Cahokia. To win the Serpent Throne, she’ll have to defeat seven other candidates, win over the kingdom’s regent, and learn the will of a hidden goddess—while mastering her people’s inscrutable ways and watching her own back.

In New Orleans, a new and unorthodox priest arises to plague the chevalier and embody the curse of the murdered Bishop Ukwu. He battles the chevalier’s ordinary forces as well as a troop of Old World mamelukes for control of the city and the mouth of the great Mississippi River. Dodging between these rival titans, a crew of Catalan pirates—whose captain was once a close associate of Mad Hannah Penn—grapples with the chevalier over the fate of one of their mates.

Meanwhile, a failed ceremony and a sick infant send the Anishinaabe hunter Ma’iingan on a journey across the Empire to Cavalier Johnsland, to a troubled foster child named Nathaniel. Ma’iingan is promised that Nathaniel is a mighty healer and can save his imperiled baby, but first Nathaniel—a pale young man with a twisted ear who hears the voices of unseen beings—must himself be rescued, from oppression, imprisonment, and madness.
Dave and I will be traipsing around the western United States promoting our books in any way possible. You'll see each of our official stops below, but we'll also hit up just about every other bookstore we can on our way around, signing their stock and meeting folks.

BLOOD REQUIEM Launch Party!

Release day for Blood Requiem, book three of the Chaos Queen Quintet, draws nigh!

We'll once again celebrate with a release day party at Weller Book Works in Salt Lake City. The event will begin at 6:30 PM with a reading from Blood Requiem, followed by a brief Q&A, and then The Signing of the Books.

It'll be a lot of fun. Weller's has hosted launch parties for my previous two books, and they've both been fantastic.

I'm particularly looking forward to this one because of how I feel about Blood Requiem. While Books 1 and 2 were both great (albeit for very different reasons), and I'm very proud of both of them, I'm particularly excited about Book 3. I think it's, pretty unequivocally, the best of the series so far. I cannot wait for everyone to read it!

So, if you're in the area, come hang out and celebrate with us!

And, if you aren't in the area, keep your eyes peeled here, because we're putting the finishing touches on a book tour for the middle of June! :-D

DUSKFALL Reading, Q&A, and Signing in Portland!

Next stop on the Duskfall book tour is Powell's in Portland, OR! They'll be hosting a Duskfall event at their downtown location (1005W Burnside St.) on Wednesday, 23 November @ 7:30 PM!

I'll be doing a reading, a brief Q&A, and a signing at the event. There'll be books, swag, cool folks, and overall an awesome time being had by all (or so I predict). Come one, come everyone!

EDITED (20.11.2016): Updated location to Powell's City of Books in downtown Portland instead of the Powell's location in Beaverton.

DUSKFALL Release Party!

IT'S HAPPENING, FOLKS!

It still feels surreal to me, but everyone keeps insisting that my debut novel, Duskfall, will officially be released upon the world next week. We'll be having a book launch party at Weller Book Works (the bookstore at Trolley Square) in Salt Lake City, UT next Tuesday 21 June from 6:30 - 8:30 PM.

For more details and updates, check out the EVENT PAGE ON FACEBOOK!

If you're in Utah, you should consider stopping by to celebrate with us! Tell your friends, tell your family, tell everyone (EEEEEVVVVRRRYYYONNEEE*)!

If you aren't in Utah, fear not! We'll be live streaming the first hour of the event (6:30 - 7:30 PM MST) on the interwebz. Just check in here, my professional Facebook page, the event page, or my twitter account for the link a few minutes before the event begins, and that should connect you!

But if you can make it, you're in luck! There'll be plenty of swag at the launch party for everyone who attends, as well as t-shirts for the first 30ish people! And refreshments, too :-).

The swag is coming together quite nicely :-).

As many of you may be aware, we've been working on a book trailer for Duskfall, and if all goes according to plan, we're going to premier that at the book launch party! We're very excited to show that to everyone; we've been working with an awesome media studio  (Cosmic Reach Media) to make it as cool as possible.

But, most importantly--and best of all--you'll be able to buy signed copies of Duskfall, hear me give a brief spiel and a reading from the novel, as well as a Q&A with the author (yeah, the author is totally me...I just wanted to say it). That stuff will make up the first hour of the event (6:30 - 7:30ish PM), and the second hour will be devoted to signing, hanging out, and generally having a good time!

It's gonna be a cool think, ya'll. This has been in the work for quite some time, now, and we are excited, grateful, and looking forward to this as well as whatever else life has in store.

Come celebrate with us!
